XITE Gamharia is thrilled to announce a transformative three-day training program on Gender Budgeting, scheduled to take place from August 12th to 14th, 2024. This crucial workshop, supported by various esteemed institutions, aims to address gender-sensitive issues and promote substantive equality through effective budgeting practices.
About XITE Gamharia
Founded in 2007 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), XITE Gamharia is one of the top colleges in Jamshedpur. The institution is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and professional competence, emphasizing value-based education. Workshop Overview
In our patriarchal society, gender discrimination often stems from deep-rooted biases. Despite governmental efforts, many issues remain unresolved. Jharkhand’s proposal for a gender budget sets a benchmark, but addressing the underlying causes of discrimination requires sensitization of various stakeholders.
This training program is designed to enhance understanding of gender-related issues among influential community members, including village leaders, civil servants, teachers, NGO workers and more. By fostering awareness and promoting inclusive practices, the workshop aims to drive meaningful reforms and create a gender-responsive system.
