XITE is an Autonomous College and it is one of the units of the XAVIER Colleges in India and abroad. These Colleges being Jesuit undertakings are founded and managed by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) who are pioneers in the field of education. The College is a Religious Minority Institution and admits all the students who qualify and want to pursue higher studies, but it gives preference to talented tribal students to groom them into professional leaders.

The College is committed to imparting academic excellence, human values and professional competence to its students through its committed and dedicated faculty members. The main objective of the College is to groom the youth of Jharkhand and neighbouring States both in knowledge and skill, and make them capable of understanding their responsibility towards nation building. We prepare each of our student with care, love and support to prepare them to become men and women for others with human qualities. We groom our students to meet social challenges and become ethical responsible citizens of India.

Besides the College, the Campus comprises of a School,  hostel for College Boys & Girls, a Canteen, and a Playground with various sports amenities. The College provides additional facilities such as training in CAT, XAT, GMAT, Banking, Railway, Tally, etc. to its students. Thus, the campus is a gamut of educational activities and imparts quality and meaningful education to all its students. Over the years, every year year a couple of final year students secure admission in reputed Business Schools such as IIMs.
