On 14th December 2024, the XITE family came together for a memorable day of joy, laughter and camaraderie at the picturesque location of Pahar Bhanga, Jharkhand. The picnic, organized by the Branding & Communication Department and Cultural Club offered a perfect blend of entertainment, relaxation and adventure. Students, faculty and staff were invited to step away from their daily routines and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of this rural paradise.
A Day Surrounded by Nature
The scenic landscape of Pahar Bhanga set the stage for a day of excitement and togetherness. The location, surrounded by a river, mountains, forests and a rural village, provided the perfect backdrop for the day’s activities. From the early morning to the evening, the picturesque surroundings created an atmosphere of peace and joy.
Event Highlights
DJ, Dance and Entertainment: The day kicked off with a lively DJ session that got everyone in the groove, followed by an energetic dance performance. Laughter and music filled the air as participants danced and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere.
Delicious Food: A highlight of the picnic was the variety of food provided. Under the expert supervision of Assist. Prof. Amit Chaturvedi, the food was exceptional, with a well-planned menu that included breakfast, lunch and evening snacks. Everyone indulged in delicious treats, adding to the fun of the day.
Nature Walks & Activities: The tranquil river, towering mountains and lush forests provided ample opportunities for nature walks and photography. The entire area was designed to allow everyone to connect with nature, offering a rejuvenating break from routine.
Coordination and Planning
The event was meticulously planned and coordinated by the Branding & Communication Department, with Mr. Ashish Singh taking the lead. The collaborative efforts of faculty and staff ensured that everything went smoothly.
Bus Coordination: The transportation was efficiently managed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Radha Mahali and Assist. Prof. Sushmita Choudhury Sen, ensuring that everyone reached the picnic spot safely and comfortably.
First Aid: The safety of the participants was a priority and Assist. Prof. Dr. Radha Mahali oversaw first aid arrangements to ensure everyone’s well-being.
Picnic Spot Coordination: Mr. Y. Dilip Kumar was instrumental in coordinating the picnic spot logistics, ensuring that all aspects were well-organized and enjoyable.
XITE Campus Coordination: Assist. Prof. Akinchan Xaxa ensured the smooth operation of all activities on the XITE campus, providing necessary support for a flawless execution of the event.
The entire event was carried out under the able guidance of Dr. (Fr.) Mukti Clarence, SJ, the Vice Principal of XITE, whose leadership and vision guided the team in organizing this grand event. His support played a pivotal role in making the picnic an unforgettable experience for all.
The XITE Picnic 2024 was a day that allowed students, faculty and staff to bond, create memories and celebrate the spirit of togetherness. With a mix of adventure, entertainment and relaxation, the event reinforced the sense of community and provided a much-needed break from academic life.
