XITE Gamharia Launches Xaviers Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee (XIEC)

On 30th September 2024, XITE Gamharia (Autonomous) proudly inaugurated the Xaviers Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee (XIEC) under the esteemed Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), marking a new era in fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking within the institution. The launch of XIEC signifies XITE’s commitment to nurturing future entrepreneurs and leaders by providing them with the right guidance, resources and exposure to drive impactful change.
The launch event commenced with a warm welcome and the ceremonial guest felicitation led by Dr. (Fr.) Mukti Clarence, SJ, who was accompanied by Dr. (Fr.) E. A. Francis, SJ, Prof. Sushmita Choudhury Sen, and Mr. Ashish Singh. The event was elegantly anchored by Ansh (BBA), while Vaishnavi Thakur (BBA) delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, reflecting the gratitude of the XITE community towards the event’s inspiring session and its esteemed speakers.
Following the inauguration, Mr. Amar Nath Singh, Director of NRIIC, captivated the audience with a thought-provoking session on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity.” His address encompassed crucial insights for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators, covering a wide range of topics essential for those looking to make a mark in the entrepreneurial world:
1. Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset: Mr. Singh highlighted the importance of cultivating resilience, adaptability, and a solution-oriented approach, which form the foundation of a successful entrepreneurial journey.
2. Identifying Opportunities: Emphasizing the art of spotting and seizing opportunities, Mr. Singh encouraged students to look beyond traditional avenues and recognize emerging trends and needs within various sectors.
3. Building a Business Idea, Especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 Cities: With a focus on regions beyond metropolitan areas, Mr. Singh shared strategies on ideating solutions tailored to the unique challenges and demands of smaller cities, promoting inclusive growth.
4. Developing a Startup from Scratch: From ideation to execution, Mr. Singh covered the journey of building a startup, underscoring the significance of perseverance and adaptability throughout the process.
