XAVLOY Explorica 2024: XITE Gamharia’s Winter Excursion

From 28th December 2024 to 2nd January 2025, students of XITE Gamharia embarked on an unforgettable journey across India, discovering the cultural, natural and adventurous beauty of the country. Planned meticulously by Mr. Ashish Singh, Head of the Branding & Communication Department, and accompanied by Assist. Prof. Reetika Singh and Assist. Prof. Anjali Jha, the excursion was a perfect blend of fun, education and exploration.
Itinerary Highlights:
Day 1: Ferry rides and metro travel through the bustling city of Hooghly, Kolkata, offering students a glimpse of urban life.
Day 2: A scenic drive from NJP to Lataguri, followed by a thrilling jungle safari, local market exploration, and a cozy bonfire evening.
Day 3: Full-day sightseeing at stunning spots like Murti, Jhalong, Bindu, Samsing, Suntalekhola, Rocky Island and Laliguras, immersing students in nature’s beauty.
Day 4: A day filled with the wonders of Lava, Rishop, Paparkheti, Ambik, Gorubathan and Chell Khola, capped off with barbeques, a bonfire, a New Year cake cutting and DJ celebrations.
Day 5: Sightseeing at Gajoldoba and Salugara Monastery, before returning to NJP.
Day 6: Wrapping up the journey with a visit to Esplanade Market, Kolkata.

This excursion was a testament to how XITE Gamharia blends education with experience. Students learned the value of discipline, organization and teamwork while enjoying every aspect of the journey. They experienced India’s diverse culture, stunning landscapes and natural beauty, fostering a deep love for nature and wildlife conservation.
Every day ended with engaging activities like bonfires, barbeques and music, making it a perfect combination of relaxation and celebration. From the thrill of jungle safaris to the serenity of hill stations, the trip offered something for everyone.
