Honoring the Spirit of Democracy and Patriotism
On 26th January 2025, XITE Gamharia (Autonomous) proudly celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and fervor at the Assembly Ground of the XITE Campus. The event was a heartfelt tribute to India’s democratic ethos and rich cultural heritage, uniting faculty members, students and staff in a shared spirit of nationalism.
A Grand Celebration of Unity and Patriotism
The event was meticulously planned and coordinated under the leadership of Dr. (Fr.) Mukti Clarence S.J., with dedicated support from student volunteers. The ceremony featured a series of performances and speeches that highlighted the essence of Republic Day and the responsibilities of every citizen in upholding the values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.
Highlights of the Event:
- Flag Hoisting Ceremony:
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Fr. Edwin Ritesh Dungdung, SJ, followed by the rendition of the national anthem, filling the air with a sense of pride and devotion.
- Patriotic Group Song & Dance:
Students performed a soul-stirring patriotic song, evoking emotions of love for the nation. This was followed by a cultural dance performance, representing India’s diverse traditions and paying tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
- Inspiring Speeches by Students:
Students delivered impactful speeches in both Hindi and English, emphasizing the importance of Republic Day, the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution and the role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.
- Vote of Thanks & Acknowledgments:
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the unwavering support of faculty members, student volunteers and all attendees who contributed to making the celebration a grand success.
