Gamharia, 18 July 2024 – In a critical step towards enhancing road safety and emergency preparedness, XITE Gamharia hosted a comprehensive training session on “Farishtey – Accident First Responders” This vital initiative was jointly organized by CII Yi XITE and CII Yi Yuva Jamshedpur Chapter Road Safety Vertical, in collaboration with EMRI Green Health Services, with the aim of equipping participants with essential life-saving skills.
The training, held at the college conference hall, saw enthusiastic participation from more than 55 students who were eager to learn and contribute to accident response efforts. The session was led by distinguished trainers:
– Dr. Pankaj Sachan, Senior Clinical Educator from Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI) Hyderabad
– Mr. Akash, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician from EMRI Hyderabad
Their expertise and experience in handling emergencies were invaluable in guiding the students through the crucial aspects of accident response.
The presence of Mrs. Shruti Jhujhunwala, Chair of the Road Safety Vertical, Yi Yuva Jamshedpur Chapter, along with Mrs. Sakshi Gupta, Co-Chair and Mr. Anupama Gupta, underscored the importance of this initiative. Their commitment to road safety and community well-being was evident throughout the session.
Training Program Highlights
The 4-hour certified training program covered various critical areas, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for all participants:
1. Introduction, Registration and Pre-test: Setting the stage for a structured learning process.
2. General Principles and Hand Hygiene Techniques: Emphasizing the importance of cleanliness in emergency situations.
3. Trauma (Injury) Emergencies Theory, Skill Demo, ABC Theory & Video: Providing theoretical knowledge coupled with practical demonstrations.
4. Bleeding Control and Splinting Video & Practice: Teaching essential skills to manage bleeding and stabilize injuries.
5. Lifting and Moving Techniques Practice: Ensuring safe and effective victim transportation.
6. Hands-only CPR Skills Demo & Practice & AED Demo: Critical life-saving techniques demonstrated and practiced.
7. Post-test: Assessing the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.
The training emphasized not only technical skills but also the mindset needed to act effectively in emergencies. Dr. Pankaj Sachan and Mr. Akash highlighted the importance of quick assessment, first aid administration and ensuring the safety of victims until professional help arrives. Their practical demonstrations and interactive sessions made the training highly engaging and informative.
