The ‘Research cell’ of XITE College under the chairmanship of Dr. Sanchita Ghosh Chowdhury, Faculty and Head of Department of Economics, organised a one day faculty development programme on the topic, ‘Financial Awareness and Planning for the Future’ on 9th January, 2023 in the College Conference Hall. The session was conducted by experts from the Kolkata based financial advisory and services firm ‘Welfin Financials’. Members of team Welfin, namely, Mr. Tapas Chakraborty, Mr. Dipujjal Mitra and Mr. Indranil Ghosh addressed the faculty and staff of XITE about the different types of asset classes available for investment and their prospective returns. The audience was also made aware of the risk factors pre-dominating the market and the factors that should be taken into consideration before making an investment decision. The session ended with a note of gratitude by Dr. Sanchita Ghosh Chowdhury followed by tea and snacks.
