The Management Club of Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Embark, in collaboration with the Jesuit Higher Education Association South Asia (JHEASA), successfully organized an Online Quiz Competition on 7th September 2024. This intellectually stimulating event brought together students from Jesuit institutions across South Asia, creating an enriching platform for knowledge sharing, critical thinking and academic excellence.
Objective
The event aimed to foster a spirit of academic engagement and competitive learning among students from JHEASA institutions. It provided a platform for participants to test their knowledge across a variety of subjects, while promoting quick decision-making, collaboration and a culture of intellectual curiosity.
Event Highlights
The quiz featured diverse and thought-provoking rounds that tested participants on general knowledge, current affairs, history, literature and themes reflecting Jesuit educational values. This dynamic structure ensured an engaging experience, encouraging participants to think critically and collaborate effectively.

Team XITE Gamharia proudly secured the Runners-Up position, showcasing exceptional knowledge, teamwork and determination. The team members were:

Under the mentorship of Assist. Prof. Amit Chaturvedi and Assist. Prof. Akinchan Xaxa, the team displayed outstanding preparation and composure throughout the competition, making their institution proud.
A special acknowledgment goes to Mr. Y. Dilip Kumar, the IT coordinator, whose expertise ensured the smooth execution of the online event. His dedication in managing technical aspects and providing seamless connectivity allowed participants to focus entirely on the competition.
The Online Quiz Competition concluded on a high note, with positive feedback from participants and institutions. It strengthened the ties between Jesuit colleges in South Asia and reinforced the values of collaboration, intellectual growth and community.
