Vision

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of XITE College aims to develop a mindset among the youth to serve the society and work for the well-being of the marginalised and under privileged brothers and sisters of our society.

Mission

The mission of the NSS unit at XITE College, while keeping in mind the motto of “SERVICE”, organises various activities throughout the academic year and educates the youth the universal belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole. Therefore, the NSS unit through its various social activities educates the youth through Community Service and Community Service through education.

Objectives

Understand the community in which we live and work
Understand oneself in relation to the community
Develop among the youth a sense of social and civic responsibility
Identify the needs and challenges of the community
Involve the youth in meeting the needs and facing the challenges
Recognize knowledge, skills, and talents of the youth
Develop competency required for group living and sharing of responsibilities
Strengthen leadership qualities and democratic values
Train to meet emergencies and natural disasters
Work towards building a nation based on the values, principles and the spirit of the constitution.
