The community service club of XITE College had organised a clothes donation drive for which the students of the club visited the Hudlung village on Saturday, 2nd April 2022. They were accompanied by faculty mentors of the club, Dr. Pompi Das Sengupta and Dr. Sanchita Ghosh Chowdhury.
The clothes were generously donated by the college students and staff. The student members of the club organized the collection drive and in the subsequent management of the donated articles. The students helped in distribution of the clothes during the visit. They also interacted with the people and came to know about the lack of resources in rural areas. The privilege gap touched the hearts of the students and they showed interest in finding remedial solutions.
