Testimony : Someone from college to be hired in top brands

Hi, I’m a guy who doesn’t know how to choose the best for my career and here I applied for
different colleges assuming someone will guide me through my life choices. I got a call from
XITE college for interview and this seems like yesterday although the event took place in
year2012. The principal fr. Panka conversed for my personal interview and, I sat in-front of
the board where 4 prof. were asking general questions to analyse the best for me. These 2
rounds of interview got me into BBA (Marketing) at XITE College (Old Campus), as I
remember the words by Fr. Panka that you are most suitable for Marketing rather than BCA
course which you want to pursue. This changed my whole life, the college helped me through
my insecurities, studies and communication through continuous Saturday activities, fest
hosting, going to industrial and social visit also being a CR I was trained to learn the
leadership qualities. I was nominated for Debate competition from college to State level and
we’re grateful for all the push we had during those hard times.

Today I am handling multiple zone for Multinational company like Nestle’ and this is due to
the great mentorship of my Prof. from XITE during BBA and NIT Agartala during MBA. The
learnings we had from college now helping in daily activities to handle sub-ordinates and
management which shaped the career in positive direction. I remember the words being asked
by Prof. Tony Castleton in the class while 2 nd year of BBA “who wants to get in Job after
BBA” – I raised the hand, he guided all of us who wanted to land on jobs and I was able to
successfully secured the campus placement for ICICI Prudential as my first corporate job.

Brand I worked for till date Tropicana (PepsiCo), Dabur and currently Nestle’.

I write these memories to thanks make the people understand how your life can be shaped by
the prof. and people around you, just be aware of the fake assurance but be blunt with your
prof. about what you think and what you wanted to be. I aspire the teaching profession as
noble because person like me are multiple in the world and they’re being shaped to be a great
human being by the Teachers of their life.
