Dowry System A Curse

Dowry tradition is a tradition that has been going on for years in our country India. In which
during marriages the father handover the gifts and money as dowry to the groom’s family
and as time passed this tradition came to be known as a conservative tradition.People also
call it a bad practice because this tradition gradually became the cause of greed in the society
which took the form of exploitation for the girl’s side which hollowed out our society like
termites. Every day we get to read or hear in newspaper that due to dowry newly married
women are tortured badly and those who can not bear it take steps like suicide. So we have
to stand together against this tradition because due to the silence of people like us this bad
practice is gaining strength but now the time has come to open our eyes and wake up. Let us
join together and put an end to this evil practice.

Just a day

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed . I grabbed my phone and scrolled through the internet.
Just spilled the tea all over myself.
I wish I could start the day again…this can’t happen so I take a deep breath and I say it’s gonna
be alright. So I remember it’s a great day to be alive. Oh! It’s Monday but I will not be sad even
if everything goes bad because I am living a good life.
Every day is not that easy. I have collected scars on my way but it is a part of being human. I
have also fallen and had a breakdown. But I just move on and I am thankful that I am alive at
the end. It is just a day everything is gonna be alright.
