Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell
The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell at XITE College Autonomous is committed to providing
a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all students, staff, and faculty members.
The cell is dedicated to addressing and preventing sexual harassment in any form, ensuring
that all individuals feel secure and valued in the college community.
Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell aims to:
•Raise Awareness: Conduct workshops, seminars, and campaigns to educate the college
community about what constitutes sexual harassment, the rights of individuals, and the
procedures for reporting incidents.
•Support and Guidance: Offer a confidential space for individuals to report complaints or
seek advice regarding any harassment they may have encountered. The cell ensures that all
concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately, following a fair process.
•Promote a Respectful Environment: Foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and dignity
within the college, where every member is encouraged to contribute towards making the
campus a harassment-free zone.
The cell is headed by Dr. Swati Singh and it has dedicated members who are available to
support anyone who might be facing harassment, ensuring that they receive the necessary
guidance and assistance in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner.
The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) for women is an essential component of the
Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell, tasked with providing a supportive and confidential space
for female students, staff, and faculty members to report any form of sexual harassment.
The primary goal of the ICC is to ensure that incidents of sexual harassment involving
women are reported and resolved effectively. The committee aims to:
•Provide a confidential and supportive environment for women to report harassment.
•Ensure fair investigations and timely actions to resolve complaints.
•Foster a harassment-free and respectful campus environment where women can learn,
work, and grow without fear of discrimination or exploitation.
XITE College maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment and is deeply
committed to protecting the rights and dignity of women within the institution. The Anti-
Sexual Harassment Cell and the ICC work closely to ensure that every woman in the
college community feels safe and respected.
