International Business. Frequent development and up gradation of technologies in different sectors at
different levels have put different nations and the states in a seemingly endless race. It is being predicted that
India, Japan and Germany will compete to become the third largest economy by 2036. The world economy
would largely be a knowledge based economy. The service sector, which is expected to contribute maximum
to these growths, would be driven by sophisticated technology. A set of radical changes have been observed in
the 'broad environment' of India since the regime adopted globalization in the globally competitive world in
the early nineties. This has been increasingly continued by the successive governments that have been voted
to power till date. As a matter of fact, these changes have become a yardstick to measure the success of
successive regimes. The changes brought by the innovation in the technological subsystem have affected
other subsystems of the broad environment, positively and negatively, all over the world. If internet was the
greatest invention of the last century, cyber-crimes are the biggest threat of the present era.
Equality and Justice lie in the heart of the Constitution of India. The innovation, either indigenously
developed or imported, should primarily serve the marginalized sections and secondarily the affluent lot. The
Happiness Index, Human Development Index and the Sustainability Index are some of the innovative indices
wherein the position of India will be crucial in future. The need of the hour is to take cognizance of different
opinions from recognized national and international bodies, courts, tribunals and stakeholders. It requires
knowledge, values and wisdom to pragmatically prioritize the decisions and actions to ensure a sustainable
Broad Environment.

Once the wingless develop wings, they can soar high and the sky can be their limit…!
