about our country's past, then we all know that there are many sweet and sour memories we cherish. But it is
rather shocking to know that over the years we do not have any significant change in our life style, since
          independence.
Let's talk about our modern life. Though India is an agriculture-based country, but still people are not willing
to do farming. We are of the opinion that farming cannot take India to the heights.

It's really absurd, when we call ourselves modern and developed, because the Indus Valley Civilization was
more developed than it is today. We Indians are agricultural based and the Indus Valley people were also
agriculture based, but still they were much ahead in science and technology in that era. And some good
examples are the monuments, which were made by the people of the Indus Valley. During the period of 5500 –
2000 BC, the monuments constructed were the best examples of development. Clean roads, proper sewage
system and proper sanitation were the basic highlights of that civilization.
NOW A QUESTION THAT COMES TO MIND IS THAT,

“WHY ARE WE STILL LAGGING BEHIND IN OUR BASIC LIFE STYLE, THOUGH WE ARE HAVING
          THE BEST TECHNOLOGY WITH US?”

And the answer is that, we are not developing...Instead, of developing we are getting webbed in the web of
'Luxury' and 'Luxurious Life' which are making us weak by every new invention.
We consider early men as our ancestors who showed us how new inventions make our work easy. But in
today's world we are not using the inventions for making the society strong. We have become weak due to the
          misuse of new inventions.

So development means utilising the inventions to our best, instead of the inventions taking hold of us. This is
the difference which we can see in the Indus Valley people and our modern culture.

“Indus Valley people used their inventions, but today we are used by our inventions; and time has come to
rectify our thinking and change our mind set.

You failed, you were trapped by depression,
         Just like demons have the power of possessions;
The sacrifice of your father all went in vain,
Your suicidal thoughts were just a bad impression,
You left him alone with a lifelong pain.
And failure was just your life's precious lesson.
Do you know the world goes on without you or me,
What you did was it really so bad,
Yet life is too precious and doesn't come free.
That your parents assumed that they lost all what they had...
So a parting lesson to my peers of generation next,
You determined yourself; you left this earth.

This was not the purpose your mother gave you birth.
