Challenges are gifts
BBA Batch: 2012-2015
“Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new center of gravity. Don't fight them, find a new way to
stand.” Truly said by Oparah Winfrey as the motto of everyone that should be in this world of challenges.
The same challenges I had to face as I had not been away from my family, friends and familiar
surroundings. This was the best opurtunity to discover oneself, and open up, as opurtunities after
opurtunities kept unfolding themselves in dierent forms. Being in a hostel, is one such chance for
trying to do many things and showcase your particular talent. Being in the Hostel was like a family
that supported you and taught you many things. To organise and take part in dierent fields of
activities was the platform provided by the college ; and the events in which we had to represent our
college was a real challenge. Happily, the same opurtunities and challenges have made me what I
am today.
College and the Hostel Experience Ritesh Kumar Gope
BBA Batch: 2014-17
College Life is something that is worth remembering. Apart from studies, making new friends,
participating in extracurricular activities, was a part of the fun, having great mentors who helped us,
whenever we needed. I was staying in the hostel, so our local guardian as well as our mentor was our
Hostel Superintendent. He was always there to guide us, help and support us. If someone was
wrong, he would correct him. The Hostel was my second home, a home away from home. Dierent
activities, especially, Saturday activities did help us to overcome our fears. At the end of our College
Life, I felt that I had become a dierent person in a good way. I would like to thank our faculty
members, our Hostel Superintendent Fr. Hilary Lobo, S.J., my dear friends who were part of my
journey. I did have a wonderful time in the college as well as in the hostel. After completing
graduation, we parted ways with a promise to meet again. Till then 'Adieu Amigos'.

Gone are the days I spent at XITE, Though the memories are bitter as well as sweet,
Study in the morning, fun at night. Without it, college days are incomplete.
In the beginning, I struggled to fit in, Mix with people as much as you can,
Now, the memories to me sound familiar to a classical violin. Intake experiences will help you frame your
game plan.
Unforgettable are the teachers, so helpful and kind,
Once you graduate, you will miss this place,
Interaction with them leave you spellbound.
From within you would die to retrace.
